Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Location: Commercial Building, Reading
Salary: 39,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
On-Call: 1 in 4 weeks
About the Role:
We are excited to partner with a leading facilities management provider to recruit an experienced and reliable Electrical Engineer for a commercial building in Reading. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a dynamic team, ensuring all electrical systems are maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on electrical systems.
- Perform electrical testing and inspections in line with current regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults throughout the building.
- Assist with installation and project works as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and building regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and repairs.
- Participate in the 1 in 4 weeks on-call rota for emergency callouts outside of working hours.
Requirements:
- Fully qualified Electrician (City & Guilds 2360, 2330, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Proven experience in commercial electrical maintenance or similar environments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with a client-focused approach.
- A proactive and professional attitude towards health & safety.
