Job Title:Solar Electrician
Location:Berkshire
Rate of Pay:Up to 40,000 per annum (DOE)
Job Description:
We are in search of a highly skilled and fully certified Solar Electrician to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in solar panel electrical installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting, with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Responsibilities:

Identify and resolve functionality and safety issues.

Plan, design, and install electrical control systems, wiring, and lighting for both indoor and outdoor settings.

Inspect and test electrical systems, including fuses, transformers, and circuit breakers.

Stay current on changes to relevant building and safety regulations.

Ensure that all installations comply with national electrical safety standards and regulations.

Train and support an Electrical Apprentice four days per week, ensuring they receive proper training, taking the time to explain, and being patient at all times.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Communicate effectively with clients and provide excellent customer service.

Stay updated with the latest industry standards and technologies.
Requirements:

Fully qualified electrician with relevant certifications - NVQ Level 3 - C&G Level 3 in Electrical Installations, 18th Edition, AM2.

2391 Test and Inspect or equivalent would be desirable but not essential.

Proven experience in solar PV system installation and maintenance.

Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety protocols.

Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Additional certifications in solar PV systems (BPEC / NVQ) are a plus.
