Our client are a small Engineering Consultancy based in Reading. The companies approach is to apply Engineering to Service Support for IT systems and infrastructure.
Taking a Systems Engineering approach to Service Support over the full lifetime of a system. The primary focus is to influence the design of a system, through consideration of individual elements all working collaboratively, making it as supportable as possible to reduce the whole life cost across the predicted lifespan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the design and delivery of IT system service solutions
- Working under the guidance of Project Leads to develop skills and knowledge in Systems Engineering and Service Support
- Utilising creativity and initiative towards problem solving
- Engaging in client-facing activities at customer sites across the UK
- Applying predictive systems modelling and failure analysis during design phases
- Conducting continuous monitoring and trending analysis during service operation
Job Requirements:
- Systems Engineering qualification
- Qualified to degree level (2:1 or above)
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience with MS Office
- Able to achieve SC level UK security clearance
- UK Driving Licence
Desirable Skills:
- Maths A-Level or equivalent
- Understanding of MS Excel analysis techniques
