Overall purpose of this role of Regional Engagement Executive

To support the Regional Director to deliver value to members & increase member engagement in the region through the planning, curation, communication, and delivery of an effective member engagement programme, ensuring we deliver on the ICAEW strategic foundations.

Regional Engagement Executive Responsibilities include:

  • To raise the profile and standing of ICAEW and Chartered Accountants under the direction of the Regional Director with members, potential future members, and stakeholders. This will include reaching out to non-engaged members and stakeholders.
  • To continually identify opportunities to widen existing networks and relationships and raise visibility as a point of contact with local members, member firms and stakeholders.
  • Be the local relationship lead and work in partnership with the regional team and local active volunteers to support the delivery of a member focused activity plan.
  • Be the day-to-day point of contact for the administration of the operational aspects of the regional member engagement and activity plan, collaborating with colleagues and local volunteer member groups.
  • Work in collaboration with the Regions Marketing Team to support the promotion of activities and events, across all channels and via relationship networks. This will include posting relevant and engaging content on appropriate channels.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across Belonging & Supporting and the wider ICAEW to ensure relevant resources and support is communicated to members in the region and ensure that feedback from members is communicated accordingly.
  • Provide accurate and insightful engagement reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc basis against agreed KPI's.
  • Specific duties will vary from time to time in line with the business needs

Regional Engagement Executive Candidate Profile

  • Excellent relationship management skills and the ability to build and maintain strong local/regional connections.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Experience of event curation, planning (inc. budgets) & delivery (virtual & physical formats).
  • Attention to detail and excellent organisation skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise.
  • An understanding and experience of digital communication channels, social media and networks.
  • An understanding of the professional services/accountancy/finance sector is desirable and an interest in current/economic affairs and the ability to align strategies with sector-specific trends and challenges.
  • A problem solver who shows initiative and is a critical thinker. The ability to conduct independent research, propose innovative solutions and shows a proactive approach to addressing issues.
