The role will be focused on overseeing environmental risk management and compliance across a range of capital projects. Ensuring adherence to environmental regulations, implementing effective mitigation strategies, and fostering a culture of environmental responsibility within project teams.Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive risk management plans to address environmental challenges throughout project lifecycles.
  • Ensure strict adherence to environmental legislation by conducting thorough assessments and implementing necessary mitigation measures.
  • Communicate environmental policies and best practices to project stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Provide environmental guidance and leadership to project teams to ensure alignment with organisational sustainability goals.
  • Conduct regular site visits to verify compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate environmental considerations into project planning and execution
Work arrangement:
  • Hybrid, 2-3 days per week office based
  • Regular on-sire presence required for project-related activities
  • 36-hour work week, Monday – Friday
  • A valid drivers license and access to a vehicle are essential for this role
Essential Experience, Training and Qualifications:
  • A degree in environmental science, ecology, sustainability or a related field
  • Proven experience in environmental assurance or a similar role within the UK
  • Strong understanding of UK environmental regulations and compliance frameworks
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders
