Credit Underwriter (Asset Finance Flow)Location: Reading with hybrid workingSalary: £50,000-£55,000pa

We are looking for a Credit Underwriter to support the Head of Credit Asset Finance Flow by ensuring all credit applications comply with Lending Policy. You will conduct detailed investigations, provide recommendations, and propose solutions that meet customer needs and business objectives.

This role includes completing annual reviews as required by Lending Policy and assisting with the preparation of management information (MI) reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure credit applications comply with Lending Policy.
  • Conduct thorough credit investigations and provide recommendations.
  • Complete annual reviews for accounts under Lending Policy.
  • Support the preparation of MI reports.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in underwriting and knowledge of the asset finance and SME market.
  • Familiarity with lending principles, credit analysis, and underwriting methodologies for small ticket transactions.
  • Knowledge of Conduct Risk and Treating Customers Fairly requirements.
  • Understanding of financial services regulations.
  • Strong analytical and compliance-focused approach.
