We are looking for 2x Accounts Payable Advisors to join Relectric on perm. This will be working mainly remote with occasional travel to local office - Motherwell, Bristol, Reading or Southampton.
The Accounts Payable Advisor is responsible for managing and processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. This role involves maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies, and providing support to the finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements.
- Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
- Generate reports detailing accounts payables status.
- Assist with month-end closing.
- Provide support to the finance team with various accounting projects and tasks as needed.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. The right candidate will spend a lot of time on the phone talking to both internal and external stakeholders. Previous experience of within a medium to larger enterprise is essential as we are looking for someone to hit the ground running. However, the suppliers range from large corporations to private individuals.
Ability to work to tight deadlines and stretch to reach cash and query targets.
Intermediate excel skills. Previous experience of manipulating and managing large amounts of data. Pivot Tables/VLookup.
Experience with working with ERP software, beneficial knowledge of using COINS but relevant training given.
Common sense and great problem-solving abilities in order to know how to handle the different situations that will arise and to adapt the different collection techniques to suit the situation.
