Client Manager - Boutique Accountancy Firm

Location: Wokingham

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000

Pro Recruitment Group are working with a well-established and fast-growing boutique accountancy practice to recruit a Client Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accountant looking to take ownership of a diverse client portfolio and play a key role in a forward-thinking firm.

The Firm:

The Role - Client Manager:
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, providing high-quality accounting and advisory services
  • Prepare, review, and sign off accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders under FRS 102 and FRS 105
  • Oversee VAT compliance, including handling partial exemption and cross-border transactions
  • Prepare and review management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
  • Liaise with clients regularly, providing clear explanations of financial statements and addressing queries
  • Mentor and supervise junior team members, ensuring high standards and development
  • Assist with corporation tax compliance, including loss relief and group loss relief claims
  • Advise clients on improving financial systems and processes, leveraging cloud accounting software
The Successful Candidate:
  • ACCA-qualified or qualified by experience, with a minimum of 5 years in practice
  • Strong experience in accounts preparation, tax compliance, and VAT returns
  • Confident in managing client relationships and explaining financial matters clearly
  • Proficient in IRIS, Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, and Excel
  • A proactive problem-solver with excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Able to work independently and manage deadlines effectively
