Finance Business Partner - Reading - £45,000 / £50,000

Wade MacDonald are currently working with a large global business, dedicated to creating a dynamic work environment, who are looking for a Finance Professional to join the team on a permanent basis. This role will focus on managing one specific entity of the business and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to its financial operations while working within a collaborative and supportive team.

About the Job

This position involves managing and controlling financial processes and internal reporting for a division within the organisation. You will collaborate closely with the Financial Controller and divisional leaders to ensure accurate financial reporting and support decision-making.

Duties will include

  • Preparing monthly trial balances, management accounts, and financial reports.
  • Reviewing and posting journal entries for areas such as accrued income, inventory, and provisions.
  • Ensuring timely balance sheet reconciliations and participating in quarterly accounting reviews.
  • Supporting the maintenance of financial forecasts and variance analysis.
  • Providing analysis of revenue streams and program costs.

About the Successful Applicant

You will be a qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA), with strong analytical skills and attention to detail. You will have intermediate Excel skills, with experience in Navision/Dynamics 365 being an advantage. Additionally, you should have experience handling large data sets in a fast-paced environment. A proactive, team-focused mindset and excellent communication skills are key.
