We are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our Finance Business team at AWE Nuclear Security Technologies.

Package: £35,380 up to £42,000

Location:RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke

AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight. We will consider flexible working requests so that your work may fit in with your lifestyle. Just let us know your preferred working pattern on your application. You will need to be on site or at our offices on Green Park, Reading up to 2 days per week.

Introducing the role:

There are lots of opportunities for development within the Finance Business team. Study for relevant quals is funded and time off given.

Flexible working with onsite attendance required up to 1 to 2 days per week.

A typical day for a Finance Business Partner could look like this:

  • Compliance with appropriate procedures, processes, and systems to ensure the quality and consistency of data
  • Supporting the preparation, monitoring and control of forecasts and budgets for specified areas, including change control
  • Supporting system interrogation and financial performance measurement of actual expenditure
  • Provision of input to cost reports, including trend analysis and early warnings as necessary

We would like you to have these skills or experience of the following:

  • A finance qualification or equivalent or proven level of experience
  • Great "people skills" with the ability to engage, collaborate and influence at all levels
  • Microsoft Office Demonstrable specialist skills associated with the role - especially EXCEL
  • Working use of a cost management tool
  • Evidence of having operated in a similar or related role
