A growing business in the Reading area is looking for an experienced Finance professional to join the team and act as the go to person for all finance matters across the business. This role will form an integral part in the operational running of the business and will be a valued and trusted member of the team
Responsibilities:
- Cash & treasury reporting
- Fixed & intangible asset reporting
- Lease accounting
- Accruals & prepayments
- Payroll reporting
- Intercompany recharging & reporting
- VAT return preparation and submission to HMRC
- General ledger reconciliations & reviews
- Assisting Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll
- Posting appropriate transactions to ledgers and review transactions posted by the Finance team
- Maintaining management accounting processes
- Tax data reporting
- Liasing with external & internal auditors
- Ad-hoc duties as advised by the company & Site Leads
The successful candidate must:
- Be part / fully finance qualified
- Have Intermediate / advanced Excel, Power Point and Word skills
- Have excellent understanding and working knowledge of accounting and reporting systems and regulatory framework
- Excellent problem solving & analytical skills
- Have good communication skills
- Be proactive and be able to take initiative
- Have the ability to work to strict deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Be comfortable working in the office 5 days per week
