- Lead the financial control function, ensuring robust internal controls and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Oversee IFRS reporting, preparing and reviewing financial statements in accordance with industry regulations.
- Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Support the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
- Drive improvements in financial reporting processes, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide strategic financial insights to senior management, supporting business decision-making.
- Ensure regulatory returns and Solvency II reporting requirements are met.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across finance, risk, and actuarial teams.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent).
- Strong experience in insurance (general insurance, life insurance, reinsurance, or Lloyd’s market preferred).
- Extensive knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
- Proven experience in team leadership and management, with the ability to mentor and develop finance professionals.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience in regulatory reporting, and financial controls within an insurance setting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to process improvements.
