Meraki Talent is partnering with a leading insurance company, is seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join their finance team. This role will focus on financial control, IFRS reporting, and team management, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting while driving process improvements.Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the financial control function, ensuring robust internal controls and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Oversee IFRS reporting, preparing and reviewing financial statements in accordance with industry regulations.
  • Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Support the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • Drive improvements in financial reporting processes, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to senior management, supporting business decision-making.
  • Ensure regulatory returns and Solvency II reporting requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across finance, risk, and actuarial teams.
Person Specification
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent).
  • Strong experience in insurance (general insurance, life insurance, reinsurance, or Lloyd’s market preferred).
  • Extensive knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
  • Proven experience in team leadership and management, with the ability to mentor and develop finance professionals.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Experience in regulatory reporting, and financial controls within an insurance setting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to process improvements.
