Reed Accountancy are working with a local property management company seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Team Leader to join the team on an 8-month maternity cover contract.This is a fully office based role, working Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm.   

Our client prides themselves on delivering exceptional service to our clients and maintaining a supportive and collaborative work environment. The successful candidate will manage a small team and ensure the smooth flow of rent from tenants to landlords, among other financial duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the flow of rent from tenants to landlords (mainly residential)
  • Deduct commission on any work completed during the prior month
  • Issue rent invoices to commercial tenants and freeholder ground rent demands
  • Process receipts and chase late payers
  • Process utility and contract invoices and set up payments for the Accountant
  • Process tenant deposit refunds net of agreed deductions
  • Handle emails, phone calls, walk-ins, and other less regular tasks

This role is best suited to a candidate who has experience of managing a small team and also able to manage their day alongside supporting others. You will need a strong attention to detail alongside knowledge of Excel to an intermediate level.  Knowledge of Quickbooks would be advantageous but not essential.
