As Head of Finance you will be responsible for managing finances across the diverse activities of this non-profit Group. You will lead the development of a forward-looking financial strategy to help maximise income and operating margin. You will advise on the best way to manage and structure the finances as the Group diversifies its services and expands internationally.

This is a hybrid role with one or two days a week in their Reading office (flexible and open to discussion).

Reporting to the CEO, you will be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team and will assume responsibilities for the financial operations including:

  • Developing a forward-looking financial strategy for the Group, including the charitable company and a Special Purpose Vehicle for non-core work/income
  • Management of the Finance team (Management Accountant, Finance Manager, and Assistant Accountant) and oversight of the day-to-day financial management
  • Producing and presenting the annual budget and forecasts to the Executive Leadership Team and the Management Committee (governing body)
  • Producing relevant financial reporting and analysis to allow effective decision making
  • Monitoring cash flow and providing proactive advice
  • Supporting the ELT in the delivery of their individual services and development of new income streams
  • Liaising with external auditors and treasury managers
  • Continuously improving Finance processes
