Are you an experienced and qualified Audit professional looking for your next challenge?I am working with a top-tier accountancy firm that is seeking an Audit Senior Manager to join their Reading office. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead high-profile audit engagements, develop strong client relationships, and mentor a talented team in a dynamic and supportive environment.The Role:As an Audit Senior Manager, you'll take ownership of a diverse portfolio of audit clients, including listed companies, AIM-listed businesses, and large international groups. You'll be responsible for:
  • Leading and managing audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring quality and compliance with International Standards on Auditing.
  • Overseeing teams, coaching and mentoring audit staff to support their professional growth.
  • Acting as the key contact for clients, building strong relationships and providing expert guidance.
  • Liaising with Engagement Quality Control Reviewers and other stakeholders to ensure technical excellence.
  • Supporting business development activities, including preparing and presenting audit tenders.
What We're Looking For:

We're keen to speak with ACA or ACCA qualified professionals who have a strong background in managing audits for listed or Public Interest Entities (PIEs). Ideal candidates will have:

  • Proven experience in audit at a managerial level, ideally within Manufacturing, Retail, Professional Services, or Technology sectors.
  • Strong technical expertise in IFRS, UK GAAP, and auditing standards.
  • Excellent leadership and client management skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving and team leadership.
