Our client is a highly respected Chartered & fully independent financial advisory firm with a reputation for delivering bespoke financial planning services to high-net-worth individuals. The firm has seen significant growth in recent years, driven both by organic expansion and strategic acquisitions.

They are currently seeking an experienced Paraplanner / Trainee Financial Adviser to join their team. This role offers a unique opportunity for progression into a full advisory position in a relatively short period of time, with a clear pathway and support to help you achieve this.

The Role:

In this role you will work closely with one of the firm's most successful and senior Financial Planners, who has built a robust client base and is now managing a full portfolio. In the initial stages, the role will focus on providing technical support, such as preparing reports, conducting research, and supporting the adviser in client meetings. However, the role offers significant progression opportunities, as you will gradually begin to take on some of the clients, allowing you to develop your own portfolio under the guidance of an experienced adviser and progression into a full Financial Adviser role.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Assisting in the creation of bespoke financial plans and advice strategies for high-net-worth clients
  • Conducting detailed research
  • Preparing comprehensive financial reports and recommendations to support client meetings
  • Developing a strong understanding of the firm's client portfolio, with a view to gradually managing your own clients
  • Transitioning into a full advisory position, with the support and mentorship of a senior financial adviser

Key Requirements:

  • Level 4 Diploma (DipPFS) or equivalent in financial planning (progress towards Chartered status is advantageous)
  • Significant experience as a Paraplanner or a similar position.
  • A strong desire to move into a Financial Adviser role within a defined and fast-tracked timeframe
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and relationships with clients
  • A proactive and motivated approach, with the confidence to take on more responsibility and progress within the firm
