Driver Hire Reading are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver to work with our highly valued customer on a Temp to Perm basis. Our customer is a nationally recognised comfort furniture retailer.
The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day running of the warehouse and ensure that all products are tracked from arriving into the warehouse until dispatched to customer.Stock:• To unload and check all product being receipted in from both internal and external sources, ensuring all furniture is scanned into the warehouse using the internal bespoke system.• Pick customer’s orders ready for next day delivery in a timely manner on the internal system.Personal Attributes:• A real passion for customer service.• Is highly motivated, very reliable, and punctual and can take responsibility of processes.• Has the ability to prioritise workload and working with tight deadlines.• A flexible approach to overtime when required.• An ability to work both in a team and as an individual.• With the role being customer facing a DBS check will apply.
Car driving licence (for occasional driving duties to cover sickness) & Counterbalance Fork Lift licence are both essential.
Pay: £12.83 per hour (Advanced PAYE model which includes holiday pay) and once transfer is complete, there will be a further 5% pay increase.Expected hours: 37.5 per week, working Monday to Friday, starting at 7am.Benefits:• Company pension• Free parking• On-site parkingExperience:• Warehouse experience: 1 year (required)• Forklift: 1 year (required)
