Logistics Coordinator- Heavy Haul – £25,000 – Reading Town Centre
The Role
Do you have strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail? Are you confident in handling logistics tasks and liaising with customers and suppliers? If so, we have an excellent opportunity for you to join our team as a Heavy Haul Coordinator.
As a Heavy Haul Coordinator, you will support the Heavy Lift team by managing and processing heavy haul tasks, liaising with customers and suppliers, and ensuring smooth operations. Reporting to the Heavy Lift Supervisor and General Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining efficiency within the department.
Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 09:00–17:00 (1-hour lunch break)
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor the Heavy Haul email inbox
- Process new tasks, amendments, and cancellations
- Maintain accurate operational trackers
- Send daily acknowledgements to DSCOM
- Respond to customer and supplier requests (e.g. driver details, task queries, documentation)
- Manage EU move documentation, including NATO forms and clearance instructions
- Arrange overnight stabling where required
- Process supplier invoices weekly
- Compile and distribute weekend task spreadsheets (when covering for the LCST Manager)
- Issue MTSR reports in the LCST Manager’s absence
- Handle customer enquiries and provide status updates
- Liaise with the Ministry of Defence and principal suppliers
- Escalate issues and concerns to management
- Attend operational meetings when requested.

The Person
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience in a customer service role (preferred but not essential)
- Understands removals processes and logistics operations
- Can manage their workload effectively to meet deadlines
- Has an intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Communicates clearly, both verbally and in writing
- Pays attention to detail and ensures data accuracy
- Works well within a team and has a proactive approach.
