Michael Page Logistics are supporting a client with the recruitment of a Depot Supervisor for their facility near Reading.

Client Details

Our client are a national supplier of materials to the construction industry. They are already a leader in the UK and have ambitions for further growth.

Description

You will have responsibility for the day-to-day safe operation of the depot ensuring it meets its performance requirements for safety, customers, employees, financial, operations and sustainability.

  • To drive a positive health, safety & wellbeing culture for all our colleagues & visitors to site
  • Oversee the operation of receipt and dispatch of Cement products for the depot
  • Supervise, develop and support all depot colleagues
  • Ensure day to day maintenance of all the depots equipment
  • Arrange and supervise all external contractors
  • Discharging of the train

Profile

  • Proven successful experience of managing/supervising a small team
  • An electrical/mechanical qualification
  • NEBOSH or equivalent qualification
  • Experience on managing results, KPIs and budgets
  • A passion for learning and improving
  • A valid UK driving licence
  • Previous experience in similar heavy industry and/or train dispatching (ideal but not essential)
