Day to Day Duties
- As the face of the business in the local area, your day will start with you spending time ensuring you have everything needed for the day ahead
- Delivering furniture, home furnishings and white goods to customer's homes
- Using a hand-held computer device to act as a routing system and obtain customer signatures for deliveries
- Ringing ahead of a delivery to ensure the customer is at home
- Completing daily checks to ensure you have everything needed to be delivered for the day
- Manual handling is involved in this role as you will be assisting the driver to deliver items
Essential Skills
- Good time keeping
- A professional appearance and attitude
- Confident when dealing with people
- The ability to work equally well as part of a team and on your own initiative
- Familiar with manual handling techniques of heavier items
Desirable Experience
- Experience in a similar delivery role would be an advantage but not essential, as training will be given
What training is provided?
- Training on the PDA scanners, manual handling and routing systems provided
