KiddyKare are supporting a SEND setting in Reading. They provide a place where children in the Early Years (aged 0-5) with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities come to develop skills through play. They also support families directly with information and training and provide advice to mainstream settings to help them include children with SEND.
The role is Monday - Friday 9-3pm, Term-time, with a pay of £11.60 to £12.60ph.

Early Years Practitioner Responsibilities:
- Under direction and guidance of the Centre Manager & Deputy Centre Manager, the post holder will work as a key member of a team to ensure that the planning, day to day running and development of the centre is carried out in accordance with the vision of the charity.
- Able to make all parents feel valued members of the group and to use appropriate opportunities to promote parents' confidence and to involve them in the session.
- Supportive Key Person, ensuring that the individual needs of each of your Key Children are met through, observation, planning, and assessment.
- Working together with families, professional and the centre to ensure a holistic approach for every child.
Person Specification
- A Full and Relevant childcare qualification.
- Knowledge of Safeguarding and EYFS.
- First aid, Basic food hygiene and safeguard training desirable.
- Previous experience working with early years.
- Approachable and friendly to parents, able to listen to them and accept their feeling, which may include distress, and must be non-judgemental.
- Able to make all parents feel valued members of the group and to use appropriate opportunities to promote parents' confidence and to involve them in the session
