A home based field sales manager is required for our market leading construction engineering client to develop sales within the London region.In return there is a good salary for this remote work from home role of circa £40k+ dependent on experience with a company car and excellent company benefits including annual company bonus, an excellent contributory pension scheme, good holidays and a long term sales career in an established reputable company. The purpose of this role is toto develop new and existing sales of plant equipment into key accounts within the South of England, mainly South London areas. This field sales role would suit an experienced sales manager with good experience of selling heavy construction plant equipment or good plant hire / plant rental sales experience, looking for the next challenge in their business development career.

This field sales role is a remote role covering the South London regions, so ideally you will be based in the M25areas such as Woking, Guildford, Reading, Bracknell Slough, Maidenhead,Watford, Windsor, Epsom, Redhill, Surrey, around the M25 areasas you will be travelling 4 out of 5 days per week to client sites. This role is a remote working from home role and you are expected to go to the offices near Aylesbury one day per week for sales meetings, reports, lead generation and general paperwork/ customer visit follow ups. This role would suit someone based near the South West London region M25area and willing and able to travel. You must have a full clean driving licence.

The ideal construction sales candidate will have the following key skills and experiences;

Essential:

  • Good field sales and business development experience within the construction plant, hire plant, plant rental, plant hire industries
  • Good experience of and ability to sell technical products eg construction machinery, heavy plant hire machinery, heavy vehicle hire, Material handling equipment, FLT, etc
  • Excellent time management, organisation and planning skills
  • A full driving licence and able and willing to travel extensively in this role as you will be covering the Southern and London region of the UK, this role is a field sales role so would suit a sales rep who has experience of this travelling and commuting field sales lifestyle.
  • Excellent communication skills and rapport skills, you must have an excellent sales manner, with the ability to communicate well at all levels of client businesses
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build new relationships with clients, develop existing accounts, identify new opportunities and follow up leads

Desirable:

Good field sales / business development experience within the construction plant industries such as powered access equipment, access platform, lifting operations, cranes, scissor lifts, MHE, FLT, etc
