This highly regarded practice is seeking an experienced and ambitious individual to lead its Residential Conveyancing department as Head of Residential Conveyancing. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a conveyancing specialist to join a forward-thinking firm that prioritizes quality service, innovation, and client satisfaction in equal measure.The RoleAs Head of Residential Conveyancing, you will be instrumental in driving the success of the conveyancing department. This position combines hands-on transactional work with a leadership remit, providing a challenging yet highly rewarding environment. You will have the opportunity to manage a dedicated team, take ownership of complex residential property transactions, and work closely with the firm's senior management to influence departmental growth and strategic direction.Key Responsibilities:* Team Leadership & Development:You will lead a team of experienced conveyancers and support staff, ensuring high standards of client service and effective workload management. This includes mentoring team members, conducting performance reviews, and fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. * Client Relationship Management:As the first point of contact for high-profile clients and complex cases, you will be responsible for nurturing client relationships, ensuring that each client receives a first-class service that reflects the firm's values and reputation. You'll also play a role in expanding the firm's client base by developing and maintaining relationships with key referrers and stakeholders. * Transaction Management:You will oversee high-value and complex residential conveyancing transactions, from instruction through to post-completion. This includes reviewing legal documents, advising clients on key aspects, and troubleshooting any potential issues to ensure transactions progress smoothly and are completed efficiently. * Strategic Planning & Process Improvement:You will work alongside the senior management team to shape the direction of the conveyancing department, identifying opportunities for growth, implementing best practices, and ensuring that the department's processes remain compliant, efficient, and competitive. You'll have the autonomy to develop and execute strategies that elevate the department's performance and enhance its market position. Candidate Profile:The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and motivated conveyancer with a strong track record in residential property transactions and a keen understanding of the Reading property market. You should have a blend of technical expertise, people management experience, and business acumen.
