Interim Chief Marketing Officer/Head of Marketing - Built Environment Sector

Our client is a well-established and successful business in the built environment sector, with an impressive 30-year heritage and ambitious growth plans.  They are on an exciting trajectory to double in size by 2027, including international expansion.

Location: Reading (3 days per week office-based) Contract: 12-month interim role with potential to become permanent

AS INTERIM CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Leading and transforming a established marketing team
  • Developing and implementing marketing strategies aligned with ambitious growth targets
  • Building stronger collaboration between marketing, sales and business development
  • Managing relationships with creative agencies and external partners
  • Overseeing all aspects of brand development and marketing communications
  • Driving innovation and digital transformation in marketing approaches
  • Contributing to international expansion strategies

THE IDEAL INTERIM CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER WILL HAVE:

  • Proven track record of marketing leadership and team transformation
  • Experience scaling businesses 
  • Built environment sector experience 
  • Strong stakeholder management and change management capabilities
  • Strategic thinking with practical implementation skills
  • Experience in B2B marketing, ideally within technical or specification-led industries
  • Track record of building high-performing marketing teams
