    We are looking for a passionate Azure focused development professional to join our client's new team who are responsible for maintaining and enhancing in house developed applications across the enterprise (circa 26,000 employees). You will be working in a fun, self-managing Agile team with a strong culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, support and accountability.
    The Lead Developer plays a pivotal role in the development and maintenance of applications and infrastructure to facilitate speedy software development and deployment, whilst supporting the current team.
    You'll ensure that critical applications and products are consistently modernized and improved to align with business requirements, whilst helping to identify and resolve complex incidents and problems and devise technical solutions that cater to the needs of the business.

    • Design, develop and maintain web applications (Node.js & Angular) as part of an agile team, with a focus of whole application systems and services (front end and backend).
    • Diagnose and resolve problems with application systems in the production environment, collaborating with team members in the fixing of faults as appropriate.
    • Code according to industry standards and specifications. This includes writing secure, clean, maintainable, and efficient code that meets the organisations coding standards and best practices.
    • Have development level involvement throughout the full software development life cycle. This includes participating in all stages of the software development life cycle, including planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Effectively communicate with team members, including the Delivery Manager and Product Owner. This includes collaborating with other team members and stakeholders to ensure that requirements are understood and that everyone is working toward the same goals.
    • Extensive experience of developing using Azure components including Microsoft Visual Studio, Azure Data Factory, Azure Blobs, AppInsights, Azure Keyvault, API Management, Azure Active Directory, Azure Functions, AppGateway, CosmosDB and ETL Tooling.
    • Fully conversant with Agile and DevOps development methodology and concepts, including CI/CD coding, security testing best practice and standards. This must include a good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and development repositories such as Git.
