PMLD Teaching Assistant - Reading - Full Time

PMLD Teaching Assistant Responsbilites:

Work with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils
Promote pupil's independence, self-esteem and social inclusion
Give support to pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning and experience a sense of achievement
Support with planning, preparation and resourcing for lessons
Promote, support and facilitate inclusion by encouraging participation of all pupils in learning and extracurricular activities
Use effective behaviour management strategies consistently in line with the school's policy and procedures
Organise and manage teaching space and resources to help maintain a stimulating and safe learning environment

We are looking for in our next PMLD Teaching Assistant:

Proven experience working with students with PMLD in an educational setting.
A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting young people with complex needs
A good understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and safeguarding guidelines
Relevant qualifications, professional or personal experience
Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a passion for creating an inclusive learning environment.
