A great platform is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Power BI Developer to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and analysing data to support business decisions and improve operational efficiency. This position requires a strong understanding of data management principles, as well as proficiency in various programming languages and tools such Power BI, SQL and HR systems experience such as Workaday, SAP, ORACLE OR ESR.

You must be eligible to work in the UK. No sponsorship is available.

Duties as A Power BI Developer

  • Delivering Management Information to internal and external clients
  • Expediting & supporting colleagues with data analysis, extraction and manipulation
  • Consulting with clients to understand, document and implement MI requirements
  • Become expert regarding all aspects of the client’s data including reporting, importing & exporting
  • Understand the client’ data schema and nuances of client data to facilitate creation of robust SQL queries
  • Consult with stakeholders to understand their MI requirements
  • Author clear and concise MI requirements documents for sign-off
  • Deliver MI to requirement leveraging Microsoft T-SQL and Power BI
  • Assisting colleagues with PowerBI & SQL challenges
  • Mentoring colleagues to improve PowerBI & SQL skills
  • Strong inter-personal skills, able to communicate clearly and confidently to varying levels of individuals internally and externally
  • Self-starter, able to break down a project into actionable steps and use initiative to move these forward
  • Have the confidence to work on their own but also to ask for help or direction when required
  • Good time management skills with the ability to deliver to a deadline
  • Diligence and attention to detail to ensure work is delivered to a high standard

Experience of the following is essential as a Power BI Developer

  • Power BI - advanced knowledge
  • SQL - ideally advanced knowledge
  • Understanding data structures and imparting this knowledge to others

Experience of the following would be useful:

  • Producing MI to be consumed by senior leaders
  • Excel - manipulating large data sets / charting
  • Knowledge of system integration including webhooks, APIs and file transfer
  • Knowledge of integration with HR systems such as Workday, SAP, Oracle and ESR
