We are seeking an R&D Team Leader to lead a niche and specialised team focused on the development of innovative chemical based products. In this role, you will manage multiple New Product Development projects, ensuring they align with established timelines and performance criteria. You will also play an integral part of the R&D management team, collaborating across functions to drive success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the UK-based R&D team.
  • Oversee the timely delivery of new products in accordance with set objectives.
  • Create and validate technical specifications for our product range.
  • Manage the scale-up of new products, ensuring successful validation at manufacturing scale.
  • Source and assess new raw materials, conducting testing to confirm their suitability.
  • Conduct product maintainability studies to ensure ongoing performance.
  • Execute compatibility testing of materials with other electronic products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization.
  • Maintain and update technical information databases.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Advanced degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in leading R&D projects and teams.
  • Strong understanding of UV cure and coating formulation.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and safety protocols in the chemical sector.
  • Excellent project management and team leadership skills.
