Registry Officer (Academic Standards)

Full time (35 hrs/wk), permanent

Based Horizons (Reading, Berkshire) with up to 2 days per week working from home

Salary range £23,000 to £25,000 pa plus benefits

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking for an entry-level role to kick start their career in Higher Education administration. As a Registry Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the student experience is as seamless and successful as can be. You will process and publish student results, maintain accurate records, and assist with the organisation of UCEM graduation ceremonies. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with teams across UCEM, developing your knowledge whilst enhancing student satisfaction.

 

Your accountabilities and responsibilities include:

  • Process and release all module, progression, award, and resubmission results, preparing all relevant documentation, reports and statistics as required.
  • Use the student records system to process and maintain an accurate student record.
  • Assist in the preparation of graduation ceremonies, including but not limited to liaising with suppliers, preparing student lists, the production of certificates and attendance at graduation ceremonies.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of UCEM’s regulations, Code of Practice, policies, and procedures.

 

Our main requirements:

  • GCSE Maths and English Language Grade C or 4 or above.
  • Administrative experience relating to processing and/or customer service.
  • Committed to quality and following processes and procedures.
  • Ability to remain calm and maintain accuracy and attention to detail in your work when under pressure at busy times, or when deadlines are approaching.
  • Ability to establish positive and effective working relationships with staff at all levels and across a broad range of areas.
