My client is looking for a bright and enthusiastic team member to join its Conveyancing and Residential Property team based in Reading.

Reporting to the Residential Conveyancing Director, you will be responsible for dealing with high value properties, high net worth individuals and advisers.

The candidate will be required to attend the office approximately 2/3 days each week, with the view to be flexible in order to meet business needs.

Experience/ Attributes required:

  • More than 3 years’ experience in Residential and New Homes work. Including residential sales, purchases, remortgages and transfer of equity
  • A strong team player who can also work independently with minimum supervision
  • Must be able to work to tight deadlines and be used to working under pressure
  • Experience of handling significant volumes of transactions is essential
  • First class communicator both written and verbal, and excellent client handling and service skills
  • Experience of working with case management systems
  • Willingness to adapt and contribute new ideas to the work of the team
  • Commitment to production of high quality accurate and complete documents and letters
  • Exercising high standards of client care at all times

Work type:

  • Fee earning on residential transactions
  • Building new business relationships and promote both the team’s services and the firm’s broader legal services to developers, agents and others
  • Taking on circa 20 new matters a month
  • Being proactive with client and agent regular case updates 
  • Maximisation of the firm’s potential to cross-sell legal services by identifying appropriate opportunities
