Satellite communications terminal Hardware Design Engineer required to work on existing Microwave and RF PCB and PCBA boards, troubleshooting and reworking performance issues.

 

You will have experience testing, debugging and diagnosing complex military grade satellite transceiver PCBs and helping future proof related issues in new PCBA systems.

 

Skills

RF circuit design ideally to military rugged standards.

Satellite antenna transceiver electronic design experience.

RF mm wavelengths.

Hardware simulation

Defence and military standards.

Oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, signal generators, multi-meters, power supply and other lab test equipment experience.

Python, MATLAB or other programming and simulation knowledge.

PCBA component level rework using irons, hot air, and IR equipment.

 

Role

Testing production PCB and PCBA assemblies, using automated functional test equipment.

Diagnosing faults to component level.

Recording test results, faults and rework action.
