Teaching Assistant Responsibilities

As a Specialist: Special Needs Teaching Assistant, your key duties will include:

• Assisting the teacher in delivering creative and accessible lessons tailored to each child's needs.
• Providing targeted support to students in small groups or on a one-to-one basis.
• Encouraging students to develop confidence, independence, and key life skills.
• Helping manage and redirect challenging behaviours using positive and constructive strategies.
• Working closely with the school team to create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment.

Position Details

• Role: Specialist: Special Needs Teaching Assistant

• Pay Rate: 83 - 95 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
• Contract: Long-term, with potential for a permanent position
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
• Experience: SEN experience is a plus, but a positive attitude, adaptability, and a desire to make a difference are most important!
