Teaching Assistant Responsibilities
As a Specialist: Special Needs Teaching Assistant, your key duties will include:
- Assisting the teacher in delivering creative and accessible lessons tailored to each child's needs.
- Providing targeted support to students in small groups or on a one-to-one basis.
- Encouraging students to develop confidence, independence, and key life skills.
- Helping manage and redirect challenging behaviours using positive and constructive strategies.
- Working closely with the school team to create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment.

Position Details
- Role: Specialist: Special Needs Teaching Assistant
- Location: Reading
- Pay Rate: 83 - 95 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
- Contract: Long-term, with potential for a permanent position
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
- Experience: SEN experience is a plus, but a positive attitude, adaptability, and a desire to make a difference are most important!
