Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the stud farm
- Will be expected to handle the Foils & stallions
- Grounds Maintenance work
- Using the tractor
- Develop and implement breeding programs to enhance livestock quality
- Monitor the health and wellbeing of all animals on the farm
- Collaborate with veterinarians for regular health checks and treatments
- Maintain accurate records of breeding cycles, health assessments, and stock performance
- Train and supervise farm staff in proper animal handling and care practices
- Coordinate nutritional programs to ensure optimal animal health and growth
Requirements
- Experience in livestock management, specifically in breeding operations
- Strong understanding of animal husbandry practices and welfare standards
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work long hours, including weekends and holidays as required
- Proficiency in using farm management software and record-keeping systemso
