A successful multinational technology business is looking for an accomplished Technical Author to join its growing team. The business encourages flexibility so you can work from home up to 4 days per week.

The successful candidate will join a small team of existing authors to plan and implement appropriate original and updated documentation for new and enhanced products in various formats (HTML, Eclipse plug-in, Markdown, PDF etc.) that is clear, concise, complete, free from technical and grammatical errors, and compliant with the company style guide. You will develop a good understanding of the products being documented and will work with the developers to ensure that the micro copy in product interfaces and error messages is clear, consistent, and uses terminology that the target audience will understand.

You will thrive on being a member of a fast moving and highly capable team but will have the requisite experience to own complex documentation projects from inception to delivery. You will be passionate about best practice within the authoring industry and driven to expand your knowledge of authoring tools and generative AI.

Experience with DITA and Oxygen XML Author is essential. In addition to this knowledge of migrating documentation from FrameMaker to DITA and knowledge of markup languages (HTML, Markdown) is highly desirable.
