Company Overview - Yard Operative

Our Client are currently looking for a Yard Operative (Temp to Perm) to join their highly valued team on a full-time basis.

This Company are a reputable business within the construction sector and offer various services such as: roofing, scaffolding, fencing, with over 20 years’ experience within the Industry. They are currently entering another period of growth and are looking to expand their team to keep up with high customer demand.

Yard Operative - Role and Responsibilities:

• Working outdoors in all weather conditions, requiring physical endurance and adaptability.
• Lift and stack scaffold tubes of various sizes, including those up to 21 feet in length.
• Sort, stack, clean, and service scaffold fittings, boards, tubes, and other equipment.
• Accurately count and check all items returned by customers to ensure completeness.
• Service and inspect all returned equipment before placing it back into stock.
• Record returned items on paper sheets, requiring neat and legible handwriting.
• Maintain high attention to detail while handling stock, ensuring accurate inventory management.

Yard Operative - Skills and Experience:

• A Counterbalance Forklift Licence would be an advantage increasing salary to £26,800
• A drive and enthusiasm to grab hold of opportunities
• Manual labourer
• Working outside
• Excellent communication skills
• A positive attitude and the ability to self-motivate is a must
