About the Role

We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Domiciliary Healthcare Assistants to join our team in Reading. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and dignity. Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver person-centred care and support to clients in their homes, tailored to their individual needs.
  • Assist with personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting.
  • Provide support with mobility, ensuring safety and comfort at all times.
  • Administer medication according to care plans and policies.
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Carry out household tasks, including light cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
  • Monitor and report changes in clients' health or behaviour to senior staff or healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare or domiciliary care role is desirable but not essential. Full training will be provided.
  • Skills: Strong communication, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards).
  • Transport: A valid UK driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are essential.
  • Attributes: Patience, reliability, flexibility, and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
