Are you an experienced care professional ready to step into a leadership role? We are seeking a Domiciliary Senior Care Assistant to join our team in Reading, delivering outstanding care to clients in their own homes while supporting and mentoring our team of care assistants.

About the Role:As a Senior Care Assistant, your week will include 30 hours of hands-on care and 10 hours of office-based duties, providing a mix of client interaction and administrative leadership. You'll ensure that care is delivered effectively and support is available for both clients and the care team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing person-centered care, including personal care, medication, meal preparation, and daily living tasks.
  • Supervising and mentoring care assistants to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
  • Conducting care assessments, updating care plans, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Coordinating daily schedules and liaising with families and healthcare professionals.
  • Supporting office operations, including staff rotas, monitoring care quality, and addressing concerns.
  • Working shifts of 6am-2pm or 2pm-10pm and participating in an alternate weekend rota.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a care role, preferably in domiciliary or community care.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • A flexible, compassionate, and professional approach to care and teamwork.
  • A valid driving license and access to a reliable car (essential).
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it).
