Entry Level Manager - Supported Living Services
Day working - based in Reading Our client are a leading provider of high quality supported living services for vulnerable adults with mental health needs and individuals recovering from substance/alcohol misuse and other complex needs. The company is going through a further phase of rapid expansion and have a great opportunity for an aspiring Manager to join the team in Reading, managing a small cluster of Mental Health, Supported Living homes.
Ths role could suit someone with good care/supervisory care experience, who is looking to step into a management role, or an existing manager/Team Leader. You will have experience of working in mental health ideally and ideally have experience of arranging staff rotas and writing care plans, with a strong passion for delivering high quality, person centred care.
Key Features of the Role
- Ensure the delivery of quality care - continually assessing our residents’ needs and wishes and developing the service to enhance their quality of life.
- Direct staff management and ensuring the smooth running of the care home.
- Take on accountability for the home - ensuring compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements; striving to achieve the best possible care rating and other external recognition of quality.
- Ensure the safeguarding of service users and delivering optimum levels of care and support.
- Work with the operational support team to organise rota’s and ensure effective fulfilment of shifts.
- Developing your people - you will have the opportunity to build your team, supported by a centralised recruitment and training team.
The individual:
You will have hands on teamleading/management experience in social care, preferably in an organisation that provides supported living within mental health or Learning Disabiliities- You will possess excellent communication skills, be numerate and analytical- You will have the ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines- You MUST have a valid driving licence and access to a car.The benefits:A competitive salary of up to £28k depending on experience28 days annual leave (incl public holidays)Business mileageMobile phone and laptop
