With their Offices based just west of Reading,the company are an established and well-respected Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning contractor who provide a full range of HVAC services from design through to installation and commissioning to various sectors including Commercial, Private Hospitals, and Laboratories, with typical project values ranging from £100k up to £2m, and as a result of continued growth an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Estimator to join the team.

Mechanical Estimator - Duties & Responsibilities:

• Analyse project specifications, drawings, and related documents to ascertain the scope of work and necessary materials.
• Conduct thorough analysis of project requirements to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to gather relevant information for accurate estimates.
• Review and assess bids and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
• Communicate and present estimates to project teams and clients.
• Maintain and update a database of cost estimates and historical project data.
• Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals for new projects.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a HVAC estimator or mechanical building services estimator.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Proficient in using estimating software and Microsoft Office.

Remuneration Package:

£55,000 - £65,000 according to experience, plus Private Healthcare, Pension, 24 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
