Let us introduce the role

We are recruiting for a Resource Management Lead to work in the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (ePMO) on behalf of the Project, Programme & Portfolio Management (P3M) Function. The Resource Management Lead is responsible for managing a team to support the recruitment & deployment of P3M resources, ensuring successful delivery of our business-critical mission.

As the Resource Management Lead, your role will entail:

  • Defining and implementing a resourcing strategy to meet the delivery demands across our business.
  • Steering the team to develop and deliver all resourcing aspects (i.e. resource allocation, utilisation, deployment, supply, and demand) for all P3M disciplines.
  • Optimising resource utilisation by facilitating resourcing outcomes between delivery units, assigning the right people to the right projects at the right time.
  • Proactively engaging with stakeholders, and subsequently recommending resource assignments that align with skills, professional goals and/or staffing preferences, and business requirements.
  • Monitoring the performance and resources within the function by utilising analysis of relevant management information (e.g. absence, retention), and supporting the delivery of a complete resource plan.
  • Fostering relationships with Talent Acquisition, HR, and Supply Chain Management to ensure operational excellence, efficiencies, and proactively manage supply and demand.
  • Line managing some cohorts from our early careers programme, providing pastoral care until full time roles are allocated within the wider business.

Even if you don't meet every point below, but you feel that this role and AWE are a great fit for you, please go ahead and apply, we'd love to receive your application.

Whilst not to be considered a tick list, we'd like you to have experience in some of the following:

  • Experience in nurturing team performance and effective delegation to manage delivery.
  • Clear and concise communication, both orally and written. Comfortable in presenting and reporting to peers and Senior Managers.
