We are currently recruiting for an experienced HR Advisor to support a team on a temporary basis whilst they recruit perm.

This is an office based role working Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm.

The HR Advisor will provide high quality advice and support directly to managers to facilitate the early resolution of difficult, complex or sensitive employee relations issues, ensuring the risks associated with such cases are effectively managed.

You will review, update and distribute all HR related policies and procedures, be instrumental in recruitment and onboarding of all new employees, ensuring high compliance in all areas.

Some of the duties will include:

  • Manage all aspects of the employee life cycle, including onboarding, performance management and off-boarding
  • Provide HR guidance and support to management where necessary
  • Develop, implement and improve HR policies and procedures that comply with UK legal requirements
  • Support the full recruitment process, including job descriptions, adverts, social media updates and interviews
  • Manage contractual paperwork, including offer letters and contracts of employment
  • Maintain employee records and update HR systems
  • Administer employee payroll and absence management
  • Manage investigations and complex employee relations issues including redundancy and grievance
  • Monitor and develop performance appraisal systems

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years working in HR at Manager/Advisor level
  • Level 3 CIPD essential
  • Strong IT skills – Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong attention to detail/accuracy/confidentiality
  • Excellent organisation skills - able to prioritise
  • Comprehensive understanding of employment law and HR best practices
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and remain calm under pressure
