We are looking for a Senior Hydrographic Surveyor to join my key client due to extensive growth across the business. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 to 5 + years` experience in a similar role as a Senior to lead a team and coach Junior Surveyors.

*The candidate can be based anywhere across the UK*

This role is on a permanent basis operation 120 days across the year on a 4 week on 4 week off basis with additional days required when necessary paid as overtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Senior Hydrographic Surveyor will be heading up on all technical aspects relating to hydrographic surveys and undertaking the processing, analysis and reporting of specific data
  • Conduct Vessel mobilisation and equipment calibrations and verifications
  • Undertaking the correct use of the survey equipment whilst adhering to H&S regulations and ensuring all equipment is in working order and packed away correctly post survey
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget whilst developing extensive knowledge of hydrographic processes

Key Attributes:

  • Ideally 3 to 5 years` experience in a Senior Hydrographic Surveyor role or similar
  • Familiarity with multi-beam echo sounders/ sensors - ideally QINSy software
  • The Senior Hydrographic Surveyor must be a competent user of survey instrumentation and software such as GNSS, MRU and Sidescan Sonars (SSS)
  • Must be able to carry out the 4 weeks on and 4 weeks off rota across the year and be willing to travel anywhere for the role
  • Any experience in Offshore surveying is preferable but would also consider Nearshore experience
