Edge Network Capacity Planners x 2

You will be working for one of the UK's leading telecommunications companies - becoming members of their Edge Network Capacity Planning team within Core Engineering; planning the Edge Data Network, ensuring growth demands can be met, evolving the platforms in scope in line with technology advancement and architecture / engineering guidelines.This is not a drawing diagrams, consulting or directing job, this is a hands on doing job. Network planning for site connectivity to ensure that growth demands are met. Evolving the platforms in scope in line with tech advancement. You will be planning the Edge Data network, including Converged Interconnect Network (CIN), ensuring capacity is made available to support the needs of the business. Maintaining accurate records of network topology and network inventory. Providing parameters/allocations for network configuration in a format that can be used for automation engines. An ideal CV would be an experienced Capacity Planner from a Transmission background. Your CV will need to evidence a thorough understanding of the technologies relevant to today's data & optical networks, specifically, but not limited, to Ciena & Nokia platforms. Technologies will include (but not limited to): IP, Ethernet, DWDM, VLAN's, Link aggregation groups and ERPS. Technical understanding of IP & Optical Networks and how they interwork. You will be proficient with MS Office applications, in particular Excel & Visio. Also, the 'draw.io' package. An understanding of xml data would be desired.Only candidates that have evidenced the required experience on their CV's can expect a response.
