2nd Line EngineerReading£28,000 - £30,000 + Mileage + 25 Days + BenefitseDBS: All candidates must be willing to go through an “Enhanced” DBS if successful.Absolute Recruit are delighted to be supporting a renowned IT Managed Service provider that supports the Education Sector. We are currently searching for a 2nd Line Engineer to take on a field-based role, supporting locations in Reading. In this instance, having a full license will be necessary . This will be a customer-facing role and therefore the 2nd Line Engineer must be comfortable in front of clients and ideally have had client-facing experience. This might be through a school or IT Managed Service Provider.The 2nd Line Engineer will have experience supporting Servers and Networks along with End User Computer Support. You will also be involved in supporting school hardware which may include Printers, AV, Touchscreens and Projectors.As well as providing customer-focused 2nd Line Engineering, you’ll help promote the company's services and help each site plan for future projects. Soft skills are so important too, and the client looks for candidates to be friendly, approachable, and engaging.To be a successful 2nd Line Engineer within the MSP, you will need to have technical capabilities in the following areas:
  • Windows Server and Desktop OS’s
  • Office 365
  • Active Directory and experience in creating Group Policy
  • Hardware Troubleshooting: Laptops, Desktops, Printers, Scanners, Projectors, and AV
  • Education experience is highly desirable
  • This is a fantastic opportunity for a 2nd Line Engineer who likes getting out and about to meet new customers and engage on varying different issues.
