Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of Linux, Unix, and VMware environments under the guidance of senior consultants.
* Provide basic troubleshooting and support for Linux/Unix servers and VMware virtualized platforms.
* Help with system installations, updates, and general administration tasks.
* Work alongside experienced consultants to learn about best practices for securing, managing, and optimizing systems.
* Support the documentation of technical processes, configurations, and solutions.
* Participate in client meetings and assist in understanding their technical needs.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth system integrations.
* Assist in performing audits of systems and infrastructure to ensure compliance with security standards.
Key Skills and Experience:
* DV Clearance: Must hold valid Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance.
* Basic experience with Linux (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.) or Unix (AIX, Solaris) systems.
* Some familiarity with VMware technologies, such as vSphere, ESXi, or vCenter.
* Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
* Ability to learn new technologies quickly and a desire to build technical expertise.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
* A proactive and self-motivated attitude with a willingness to take on new challenges.
Desired Qualifications:
* A degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
* Any relevant certifications (e.g., VMware VCP, Linux LPIC) are a plus but not essential.
* Experience with scripting or automation tools (e.g., Bash, Python) is a bonus but not required.
