A unique opportunity has arisen to join one of our forward thinking clients as a Support Engineer. No specific experience required asfull training will be provided to candidates with strong IT skills and the commitment and willingness to learn.
Starting salary of £28,200, depending on experience.
This role will be home based, with travel covering the South of England.
The successful Support Engineer will be required to:-
- Install, maintain and service Matrix Vending Machines/Units.
- Conduct annual servicing of warrantied Matrix Vending Machines/Units.
- Build, test and retrofit outgoing Units.
- Maintain Matrix units, to include breakdowns, retrofits and repairs.
- Acquire all relevant technical knowledge of product range.
- Deliver onsite training Matrix Vending Units.
- Assist sales team with promoting benefits of Vending Units. Provide customer quotations.
- Program Vending Units prior to installation, linking to customers computerised system.
- Remote access units in order to perform training, problem solving and maintenance.
- Complete annual price changes remotely of all items.
- Ensure SLA’s are adhered to.
- Complete all relevant paperwork.
- Liaise with customers over the phone, troubleshooting issues with Vending Units.
- Maintain an adequate van stock volume to fulfil requirements of services and breakdowns.
The Support Engineer will have:-
- Full clean driving licence (essential.)
- Willingness to travel around South of UK, postcodes to include:-GL, SN, HP, BA, RG, BS, OX, WD, HA, SL, LU.
- Some overnight stays will be required.
- Physical ability as some lifting will be required.
- Strong IT skills, to include Microsoft Excel formulas.
- Basic IT networking inclusive of IP Addresses, MAC addresses and Domains.
- Database experience.
- Ability to train others.
- Experience of using remote access software such as LogMeIn or Teamviewer.
- Good level of secondary education.
- A keen desire to learn with a hard working approach.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- An ability to multi-task.
- An ability to build strong customer relationships.
- Good time management ability.
- Ability to work using own initiative and under supervision.
- Ability to train others.
- A desire to work as part of a team, building strong internal relationships.
- Good problem solving approach.
- Knowledge of AS400, SQL or IT networking would be advantageous but not essential.
