Solutions Architect opportunity to join an Award-Winning UK wide Software Engineering company, who do a lot of work with the UK Government working on a Fully Remote basis. Solutions Architect opportunity Fully Remote - up to £100,000 PA + Bonus + Great BenefitsTo apply for this role you must be SC Cleared or able to obtain Security clearance -*That means you must be a British Citizen and have been living in the UK permanently for the last 5 years*As a Solutions Architect you will join one of our small, fast-paced, agile delivery teams; using agile methodology and DevOps techniques to design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure supporting workloads for customers in the UK Government. You should have experience working for the MOD. Responsibilities:

  • Draft technical Statements of requirements for cloud native applications and platform solutions.
  • Define and asses technical architectures and solutions.
  • Define technical and business requirements.
  • Produce high and low level technical designs.
  • Produce high level operating model designs.
  • Define security controls and architecture commensurate with cloud and application security best practice.
  • Define and select appropriate DevOps pipeline, process and tools.
  • Define and select appropriate high level of coding languages, testing strategies and tools to be used.
  • Define the tools and practices to be used to monitor and support cloud applications.
  • Define service management practices/process.
  • Architect and support delivery of on-premise virtualization (VMware ESX, vCenter) solutions.
  • Architect and support delivery of IaaS, PaaS and SaaS public cloud (AWS & Azure) solutions.

You will ideally have exposure to;

  • Contemporary software engineering including selection and application of appropriate technology and patterns
  • ANY Consultancy experience is highly desirable.
  • ANY Central Government experience is highly desirable.
  • Confidence working in a team developing full-stack solutions.
  • Defining, installing, or supporting networking solutions.
  • DevOps and the techniques which enable it - including virtualisation, containerisation, CI/CD and IaC
  • Working in agile environments using methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • MOD experience or related
