Scientific Administrator
Pertemps are actively looking for a Scientific Administrator to join a busy client based in Reading!
As a Scientific Administrator, you will be responsible for:
- Ensure samples are logged into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) in an accurate and timely manner.
- Ensure the efficient throughput of samples in CSA from receipt to laboratory.
- Sub-sample multi-lab project samples, strictly adhering to all requirements of QSOP-149.
- Liaise with customers to ensure correct information is available. Ensure customer satisfaction by acting as an interface with customers and deliver excellent customer service
- Ensure consistency, technical precision and compliance with methods of work and look to identify improvements.
- Develop good working relationships with RSSL colleagues particularly in the laboratories and customer services.
- Work as part of the CSA team to high standards of safety and quality.
- Collaborate with Operational Teams to ensure customer requirements are met in a timely manner.
- Able to work under pressure and adapt to meet an ever-changing customer environment.
- Communication & Influence
- Work as part of an efficient team
- Liaise with clients, commercial, site administration teams and line management to ensure effective communication.
- Work to the highest standards of safety and quality by ensuring that appropriate COSHHs, risk assessments and SOPs are understood and followed.
- Complete assigned quality actions on a timely manner
- Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
- Understand and work to the requirements of GMP and UKAS or Home Office regulations as required.
- Ensure training records are up to date and accurate.
The ideal candidate for this Scientific Administrator role would possess the following:

- Excellent inter-personal skills, with the ability to interact effectively by with customers and colleagues by telephone, written communication and face-to-face
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and quick to learn.
- Able to organise own work to maximise output
- Computer literate in standard MS office applications
- Administrative working experience
- Experience of working in a regulated environment

Education/Qualifications
Educated to A-level / HNC level (or equivalent) and / or have appropriate industry experience to be able to fulfil role requirements.
