We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused IT Support Engineer to join our client’s team in a growing independent IT Support specialist provider in the Reading area. This role offers career progression prospects as your experience develops and a broad scope to work with a broad range of projects in areas such as cybersecurity, certifications, MS 365 and resolving server issues. The successful candidate must live close to Reading, possessing a "can do" attitude and a friendly and confident manner. Car driver essential.

Day to day responsibilities:

  • Providing technical support to clients and maintaining client systems - full training and coaching provided
  • Assisting with managing and delivering client projects
  • Developing and implementing IT support process and documentation
  • System administration and maintenance tasks
  • Maintaining best practice knowledge to contribute to knowledge base

Requirements

  • Proven experience in an IT support role
  • Experience in Managed Service Provider (MSP) or similar environment is advantageous
  • Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows 11, Hyper-V, Active Directory, and Azure AD
  • Familiarity with MSP tools such as Kaseya VSA (or other RMM), IT Glue, and Halo PSA
  • Solid understanding of ITIL and IT support best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications are highly desirable
