Knowledge
1. Chartered Engineer, recognised international equivalent or possesses equivalent knowledge and experience
2. Deep understanding of the challenges of introducing new assets or changes in practice into the transport system and the necessary trade off between cost, time and quality
3. Good level knowledge of a relevant engineering discipline or functional specialism
4. Good understanding of the interfaces between own discipline / functional specialism and the wider transport system
5. Good understanding of the principles of risk management and value engineering
6. Knowledge of applicable health & safety legislation, industry best practice, standards and guidance
7. Knowledge of the client Vision, Mayoral Transport Strategy, Business priorities and financial constraints
